LumaStream, St. Petersburg, FL based manufacturer of premium low-voltage LED lighting systems, today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed George Gordon as President and Chief Executive Officer. He has also joined LumaStream’s Board of Directors.
“This is the ideal time for George Gordon to become LumaStream’s next Chief Executive Officer” said Eric Higgs, LumaStream’s Founder “We have selected a strong leader with deep roots in the Tampa Bay tech community,” said Higgs. “George’s vision, experience, and track record are exactly what LumaStream needs as we scale operations to support rapid growth in the low-voltage LED lighting industry.” Gordon joined LumaStream in 2012 as a member of its advisory board and a respected mentor to the LumaStream Executive team.

George Gordon relocated to Tampa Bay from Silicon Valley in 2001 to become Chairman and CEO of Enporion, a business-to-business electronic commerce company. He brought with him to Tampa Bay a passion for entrepreneurism and regional economic development. He joined the board of the Tampa Bay Technology Forum in 2002 and later served as its chair for four years. During this time, he also served on the Tampa Bay Partnership Board of Directors and the Florida High Tech Corridor Council. “I am thrilled to be working with such a brilliant and passionate team, and to realize the opportunity to expand on the success of LumaStream while advancing on to the next level,” commented Gordon.
